Civil Testing

The Material Technology and Testing Department at Alruwad delivers a comprehensive range of specialized services, covering routine testing of construction materials as well as expert consultancy for complex material-related challenges and applications. Our capabilities include fully equipped civil laboratories and on-site field inspection services for a wide variety of construction materials, including concrete, cement, precast concrete products, masonry units, natural building stones, rocks, soils, aggregates, and sand.

In addition to material testing, Alruwad provides advanced structural assessment services such as concrete deterioration analysis, delamination surveys, and condition evaluations to support asset integrity and durability.

All testing and inspection services at Alruwad are conducted in strict compliance with recognized international standards, including ASTM (American), BS (British), DIN (German), EN (European), and ISO (International).

Field Sampling and Testing Services

Our field services encompass comprehensive testing of fresh concrete properties, including slump, temperature, air content, and density, along with proper sampling and specimen preparation. We carry out aggregate sampling from stockpiles, soil sampling from stockpiles and laydown areas, in-situ density testing using the sand replacement method, and sampling of masonry and building blocks.

Specialized site teams perform both non-destructive and destructive testing to evaluate concrete cover depth, assess reinforcement condition, monitor and map cracks, and conduct visual and delamination surveys. Additional services include Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) testing, concrete coring, and dust sampling to support detailed material and structural assessments.

Advisory and Consultancy Services

Alruwad offers expert consultancy services across multiple disciplines within construction materials and technology. These include specification reviews and appraisals, development and implementation of QA/QC programs for material and product evaluation, forensic failure investigations, and statistical analysis of test performance data.Where standard testing methods are unavailable or unsuitable, Alruwad has the expertise to develop and apply customized testing methodologies, ensuring practical and reliable solutions tailored to project-specific requirements.
